Rewilded Thinking

Thinking Trails

Facilitated walking sessions for clarity and practical next steps.

Thinking Trails combine structured facilitation with the expansive thinking that happens outdoors. They are designed to help founders, leaders and decision-making teams pause, clarify the real challenge, and move forward with clear priorities, decisions and actions.

What is a 'Thinking Trail'

A structured conversation - on the move.

A Thinking Trail is a facilitated walk where we use straightforward frameworks, good questions and active listening to help you think clearly. The landscape is not a backdrop - it’s an environment that naturally changes perspective and attention. We use that effect deliberately, and we finish with practical outputs you can act on.

When it’s useful

Best when you need perspective, options and a clear next step.

  • You’re stuck on a decision and need to see the trade-offs clearly
  • You need to clarify priorities and what to say “no” to
  • You’re shaping a plan for the next 30–60 days
  • You want to align a small group around a direction
  • You need fresh options on a live challenge (strategy, innovation, change)

How it works

A simple flow that keeps momentum

1. Frame (10–15 mins)
What you’re working on, what matters, constraints

2. Walk + Explore (60–120 mins)
Options, perspectives, trade-offs, patterns

3. Capture + Commit (15–30 mins)
Priorities and next steps written down

You’ll leave with a concise capture of priorities and next actions.

What you’ll leave with

Clarity you can act on.

  • A clearer problem statement (what you’re really solving)
  • Options and trade-offs surfaced
  • A short list of priorities
  • A practical next step plan (often 30 days)
  • Decisions captured (when the decision is ready)

Formats

Choose a starting point - we can build from there.

1-to-1 Thinking Trail (Founders / Leaders)

A focused walk for clarity on a live challenge, with written capture and next steps.

Small Group Thinking Trail (2–10)

For boards, leadership pairs, or core teams who need alignment and decisions on a specific topic.

Thinking Trails within Strategy Offsites

The Trail is often the turning point.

Thinking Trails can be booked as standalone sessions, and they’re also a core part of our Strategy Offsites. For teams, the Trail creates space to step out of the day-to-day, surface the real issues, and return to the table with clearer options and decisions.
